One of the most popular articles is about Indonesian Hackers. And it is a long article, written in early 2006. Amazingly, until now still continue to comment on. On average it together, get taught how to become a master hacker.
Indonesian man was actually a lot of remarkable. Not believe? See it, internet access expensive, slow, but still be a significant community in YahooGroups.com
Like some of my friends in various locations, they succeeded in starting a business on the Internet, and can work from home in peace. The earnings do not have to be asked, some could be reached almost USD 100 million per month.
Another example, when we look at the graph "blog belt" from BusinessWeek, the list of cities most active of his blogging activities. Is there a Tokyo there? No. Hongkong? No. Berlin, Sydney, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok? No. Well, who would have thought it Jakarta is there? Wow.
Or like many of my friends IT experts abroad. That the shock when he saw his fellow ethnic Chinese, Indians, and others. "Why, we are still far more intelligent than they are you?" They were shocked. Not artificial.
In all our limitations, people can still outstanding Indonesia. Can imagine what it would be if we all well facilitated. Indonesia might colonize the Internet huh?
Some of the footage on my daydream just a little. Our potential great, but sometimes we are not aware. Or often face difficulties to be expanding. But this can often be overcome with persistence. As one friend, who is willing to stay in campus laboratories to be free to learn computer. He can not afford their own computers. Now he's become IT experts at one of the largest automotive companies in Indonesia.
So what does all this with a hacker? As mentioned the word "hacker", who is often pictured in our minds is a figure of style computer expert Kevin Mitnick, who was sitting at the computer 20 hours a day, with a nimble move from one computer system to other computer systems.
However, there are also hackers lainnya.Pak Onno example is one of our hackers. Imagine, who would have thought it could be pan wireless antenna? Or Mr. Johar and his friends, allowing Internet access costs become more economical (and other benefits) to work together to make IIX (Indonesian Internet Exchange)? Or friends in AirPutih, which allows communication begin running again after the tsunami? Or colleagues in MicroAid Projects, which allows people from all over the world to contribute capital to a variety of SME businesses in parts of Indonesia? Or friends in AWALI.org, which allows Internet cafe run by Linux more easily? And so many others that I certainly could not mention everything.
Hacker: hack.er = an expert of a programming, solving problems with computers.
When he saw our friends, I am so proud to be an Indonesian. With all the limitations, shortcomings, problems, there are still many who continue to share and very useful for others.
Heil Indonesian Hacker. Merdeka!!!
